Project description: The Health Ecosystem for Learning and Innovation Across Sovereign Data Space (HeliX) I3 project promotes a technological solution for AI driven secondary use of health data, while complying with all the EU rules, guidelines, common standards and practices, infrastructures and frameworks developed for data and AI. The solution will enable data to be decoupled from service providers, allowing for seamless integration between cloud-based solutions, enabling new avenues and optimized data processing and storage in distributed networks, and breaking the dominance of third-country service providers in Europe. The project is coordinated by Health Cluster Portugal (HCP) and involves 14 partners, including three Hungarian entities – among them the NIÜ - Portuguese, Polish, and Italian partners as well.
Project objective: By creating an interregional value chain to connect healthcare data owners and secondary healthcare data users – such as pharmaceutical companies, healthcare data analysts, contract research organizations, scientific institutions, health authorities, and other government agencies—on the HeliX platform, which is being developed from TRL6 to TRL9.
